Ch. 54 Gu Jingzhu

After Jiang Juan tore up the photos, his clothes and hands were covered with paint, but he didn’t care about it.

The people standing next to him were very enthusiastic, and they also helped to clean up the remaining part of it. Someone asked Jiang Juan to contact the owner of the house and remember to call the police. This kind of behavior is too bad and absolutely cannot be tolerated.

Jiang Juan said that he knew, and when those people dispersed, he opened the door with the key and entered the house.

As soon as he opened the door, Jiang Juan found that the smell of paint in the room was heavier. He turned on the light and found that the group of people had broken into Xie Jingxian’s house as he had expected. He saw that the room was turned upside down, and everything was in a mess, paint was splashed on the old furniture, cat litter and cat food were lying everywhere, the scene looked terrible.

088 saw Jiang Juan standing still at the door, and he urged him to calm down, and wait for Xie Jingxian to come back to talk about anything, he can’t do anything illegal or chaotic.

Jiang Juan thought that he can only be a ghost if he can calm down. He finally understood where Xie Jingxian’s blackening value came from. With such disgusting people around, it will be weird if he did not blacken.

Jiang Juan’s fist clenched, and at this moment, a cat’s soft meow came into his ears. Jiang Juan looked at the corner and his cold expression loosened, as he squatted down and opened his arms, “Come, come to Godfather.”

Juanjuan may have been frightened too much. Seeing Jiang Juan’s soft-spoken voice, it really came over, rubbed it’s body against Jiang Juan’s leg, raised it’s head and meowed like a spoiled child, looking very aggrieved.

Jiang Juan touched the head of the little cat and said, “I’m sorry, I’m late, don’t worry.”

Juanjuan let out another meow, and rubbed Jiang Juan’s palm with it’s small head.

Feeling the soft touch in the palm of his hand, Jiang Juan felt a little better. He got up, rolled up his sleeves and said, “Okay, let’s clean up this place.”

It was ten o’clock in the evening when Xie Jingxian returned home, and before he even got to the door, he smelled the pungent smell of paint. When he got to the front of the house, he saw water on the ground, unwashed paint, and traces of torn paper on the walls and door.

A faint noise could be faintly heard from the room. Xie Jingxian opened the door, and at first sight saw Jiang Juan, who was squatting on the ground and wiping the coffee table with a rag.

Hearing the movement, Jiang Juan turned his head and saw Xie Jingxian standing at the door quietly looking at him. Jiang Juan raised his hand to say hello, and then said what he thought Xie Jingxian was most concerned about right now, “Don’t worry, it’s all right.”

Before he finished speaking, Xie Jingxian came over and pulled him up.

Seeing Xie Jingxian scrutinizing himself carefully, Jiang Juan realized that he was worried about him, and felt warm in his heart, “I’m fine. I was just tired of writing the papers, and wanted to come over to help you feed the cat.” He glanced around, his voice a little low, “It was like this when I came.”

Xie Jingxian hummed and said nothing. He took the rag in Jiang Juan’s hand and started wiping it himself.

Jiang Juan looked at the scar on Xie Jingxian’s back hand, and immediately guessed that this matter did involve Han Xingye. It must be Han Xingye who came here to destroy the place while Xie Jingxian was not at home, and even besieged him on the road while he was looking for a job.

Thinking of this, Jiang Juan frowned slightly. If Han Xingye did all this, and Aunt Rong suddenly had to close the shop. Could it have something to do with him?

Jiang Juan looked at Xie Jingxian’s back, suppressed his guess for the time being, and found another rag and squatted beside Xie Jingxian to accompany him to clean up.

It’s just that the paint is not so easy to clean, and the whole house is full of pungent smell, making the place unsuitable to live.

Jiang Juan wiped for a while, then turned to look at his side, and saw Xie Jingxian’s drooping eyes, wiping the coffee table seriously.

Xie Jingxian still had wounds on the back of his hand. Although there was no blood, his skin was white, and with the light shining, Jiang Juan could see it clearly .

Jiang Juan endured and endured, finally took a deep breath, threw the rag, pulled Xie Jingxian to stand up and said, “Go, go to my house and sleep, I will clean up here tomorrow.”

Xie Jingxian did not refuse, and returned to Jiang’s house with Jiang Juan and Juanjuan.

Jiang Juan knew that because of Xie Jingxian’s cleverness, he must have guessed who did it. After returning, he kept his mouth shut and didn’t mention it. He just pulled out the game console and pulled Xie Jingxian to play two rounds together.

The next day, Jiang Juan specially asked someone to go to Xie Jingxian’s house to clean up. Professionals are quick, and it’s done in one morning, but the smell of paint is very pungent, and it will take a few more days for it to go away.

At Jiang Juan’s strong request, Xie Jingxian returned to Jiang’s house. Not long after the two finished their lunch, Xu Rang came over.

Xu Rang and Jiang Juan’s houses were very close, but during this period of time, the two of them were busy and rarely visited each other’s places. Xu Rang was very familiar with the Jiang family, so he didn’t treat himself as an outsider when he came, and opened the shoe cabinet to get the slippers.

Jiang Juan and Xie Jingxian were sitting on the sofa in the living room, with a pile of test papers spread out on the coffee table.

Xu Rang’s eyes lit up when he saw the finished paper, and he said to Jiang Juan, “Brother Juan, have you finished it all? So fast, let me copy it.” He quickly took out the homework he brought with himself and rushed to sit on the ground by the coffee table.

Jiang Juan held down the test paper with one hand, preventing Xu Rang from taking it, “Do it yourself.”

Xu Rang gave Xie Jingxian, who was sitting opposite an unconvinced look. Xie Jingxian had lowered his head and was quietly coping the multiple-choice questions of the test paper, “I can’t, why can he?”

Jiang Juan said, “He can answer these questions with his eyes closed, can you?”

“Close your eyes…” Xu Rang muttered, wanting to refute, but then finally swallowed his words under Jiang Juan’s stare.

Xu Rang put the papers he brought on the coffee table, sat cross-legged on the carpet and said, “Okay, I’ll write it myself, anyway, I’m almost done.”

For Xu Rang, these papers are still very difficult, especially the big questions at the end.

Jiang Juan even told him about his mistakes if he was wrong somewhere. Xu Rang was thick-skinned and knew Jiang Jun very well, so he didn’t feel embarrassed at all.

About two hours later, the cooking aunt brought fruit plates and drinks over to let them rest.

Jiang Juan turned on the TV, as Xu Rang bit the watermelon, and said inarticulately, “I want to watch Ultraman. Channel C has been airing it all day long these days. It’s very beautiful. The school cafeteria is playing this recently.”

Jiang Just said, “Why don’t you just watch Big Big Wolf [1]If I am not wrong, it might be the character from ‘Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf’ which is a Chinese animated anime-influenced television series.” Having said that, he still pressed the remote control to find the C channel that Xu Rang said.

Jiang Juan rarely watches TV, so he doesn’t know what channel C is. Suddenly, his eyes fixed on the TV, and his body also sat up straight.

He saw a message playing on the TV, reporting the news that overseas businessman Gu Jingzhu had returned to China for development.

In the picture, Mr. Gu looked energetic, with his hair neatly combed, and wearing a black suit, however he looked very cold and serious.

Jiang Juan was obviously taken aback when he saw the name Gu Jingzhu appear.

Has the plot developed to this point?

Why did Gu Jingzhu return to China earlier?

After his accidental death, Jiang Juan transmigrated as a vicious villain in a novel. The villain was always bullying the male protagonist, which resulted in his miserable end. After passing through, Jiang Juan did not intend to torment anyone like the original owner. After gaining a second chance at life, he decided to never provoke the male protagonist and safely live the rest of his life. But who knew, that his life was tied to the fate of the male protagonist, because of which he can feel all the pain that the protagonist suffers. If the protagonist is in pain, he will also feel it, if the protagonist is hungry, no matter how much he eats, he will still feel dizzy from hunger as his stomach keeps on growling, and if the protagonist is dead… Jiang Juan didn’t dare to think about it. Just at this time, a his lackey with short eyes came to him to ask for credit, “Brother Juan, we have surrounded that kid Xie Jingxian, and are ready to teach him a lesson, see if he dares…” Jiang Juan was furious: “Everyone stop. Don’t hurt him! If you fight him, you will end up finding it difficult to eat or even walk around.” Next, in front of everyone's wide eyes, the lonely protagonist was coaxed to Jiang’s house by Jiang Juan. Jiang Juan held the protagonist’s hand and gently asked, “Axian, are you thirsty? Are you hungry? Are you tired? If you feel unhappy, I’ll ask Arang to come over and serve you as a sandbag. How would you like to vent your anger?” Xie Jingxian was alert . He looked at Jiang Juan and said, “What’s your purpose?” Jiang Yan sighed, “What purpose can I have. I only hope that you have a smooth life, one with no illness or disaster.” That way, I can also safely grow old. Xie Jingxian didn’t believe it at first, but later, he said to Jiang Juan: “I understand your intention.” Jiang Juan was greatly moved: “You finally understand.” Xie Jingxian nodded, “I accept it.” “Wait, what do you accept?” Xie Jingxian, “Accept your love.” Jiang Juan: … Brother, did you misunderstand something? I didn’t mean that!

Why you didn’t call the police? D: Why destroy evidence? Hope you made some photos…
Thank You for the new chapter (๑°꒵°๑)・*♡

  2. Chocopops says:

I’m starting to get the feeling that jiang juan transmigrated into a fanfic of juan and jingxian being a couple rather than the original hetero novel he read. Either that or he is also a character in the novel who thinks he transmigrated into a novel. Would explain the female protagonist’s actions since she’s clearly also transmigrated and she’s not trying to get close to jingxian, rather she’s trying to get juan to become closer to jingxian. She also appears to know all the plot points that happening with the han family that wasn’t in the original novel juan read like the stall closing down since she warned juan to be careful of the han boy.
