As soon as she left, several people in the dormitory began to chat. “Jin Rui’s boyfriend asked her to borrow money again. Tsk, she really dared to borrow money just for him.”
“It’s just that she lacks men and is a bitch.”
At the door of the dormitory, Jin Rui gave a 50-yuan bill to Xie Zian and asked, “Why are you borrowing money?”
Xie Zian replied, “to take the car. I’m going to Nanyang to find someone.”
Jin Rui asked, “Who are you looking for?”
Xie Zian said, “I’m looking for someone to do something.”
With that, he said mysteriously, “If I succeed, I may have to transfer to Nanyang.”
Jin Rui looked at him in surprise. “You are going to transfer schools in the middle of the third year?”
It’s hard to switch schools when you’re already a third-year student. You’re so close to graduating too.
Xie Zian didn’t tell her the details. He just waved his hand before turning around and leaving her dumbfounded.
Jin Rui turned around and told Jin Kui about it and asked her to look after Xie Zian over there.
Jin Kui sneered, “You want me to take care of that teenager fart? What am I? His mother?”
Jin Rui sent her a red packet, “Please.”
Jin Kui took the money and reluctantly agreed.
*
According to Jin Rui’s request, Jin Kui went to the school gate to wait for Xie Zian to come.
Nanyang High school doorman is not strict, as long as he is not under suspicion to violate the school regulations, he is generally allowed to enter.
Xie Zian is handsome, and the doorman sat on the chair without moving his ass.
Jin Kui looked at Xie Zian, who was a little shorter than her, and it was hard not to show a look of disgust in her eyes. “Xie Zian, this way.”
Once Xie Zian saw her, he strode over and looked at her up and down. “You look very much like your sister.”
Jin Kui rolled her eyes. “Of course, we are twins.”
Xie Zian’s eyes fell on her chest. He thought that hers are definitely much bigger than Jin Rui’s. Jin Kui followed through and noticed quickly. Thus she couldn’t help but yelp in disgust. “Who are you looking for? After you found him, return to your school immediately.”
Xie Zian noticed her rude tone, enough to make him a little bit pissed. “Watch your tone. Don’t you know that I am going to be your brother-in-law? Don’t you know how to be polite? Don’t you have a tutor? Have your parents didn’t teach you basic manners?”
Jin Kui was so angry her face starts to go red like tomatoes. Brother-in-law? He doesn’t deserve that title at all. “Cut the crap! Who the fuck are you looking for? If you don’t hurry up, then I’ll let the doorman kick you out!”
Xie Zian didn’t bother to talk nonsense to her. “Xie Zhongxing, I’m looking for Xie Zhongxing. Which class is he in?”
Jin Kui was stunned for a second, and her tone gradually calmed down. “What do you want with him?”
Xie Zian straightened his chest and said, “He’s kind of my brother. I’m looking for him.”
Jinkui looked at him up and down before laughing, “Brother?”
Xie Zian felt the mockery in her tone, which made him snap yet again. “What are you laughing at?”
“You’re really his brother? Then maybe it’s true that there really is bad bamboo out of good shoots. How come your brother didn’t share some good genes with you even just for a little bit? The difference is just too big.”
As soon as this came out, Xie Zian’s whole body’s blood rushed to his brain, “What are you talking about?”
Jin Kui could not hold it in. She just has to say it to his face. “I said, your brother is way better than you are: taller and much prettier. Oh, but hold your horses, we are just starting. His academic performance is so out of your league. He sits at the top rank of our school. What about you? Who is the top-notcher in your school? Is it you?” She smirked. “Last year, I was admitted to Tsinghua University. But your brother was scouted to both Tsinghua and Peking University without accident. Your school was fine a few years ago, but it has completely failed these recent years, hasn’t it? And based on your ranking of more than a hundred years old, you can choose from the 500 ordinary universities in China and that’s about it.” She said, and as if that was not enough, she continued her outburst.
“And to tell you the truth, my sister is going abroad after the college entrance examination. Of course, she hasn’t told you yet. After all, she forgot to tell you that she is the mother of that stupid baby of yours. I hope you are a little self-aware. Don’t be a toad wanting to eat swan meat. If it’s your brother, then I would’ve raised both of my hands in favor. I will even directly move the Civil Affairs Bureau to let them get married if it wasn’t for their age. I am even afraid that in the future, my nephew will become a second-class cripple with genetic defects. “
Her vicious words smashed into Xie Zian’s ear like a steel cannon, making Xie Zian dizzy, but he didn’t have the strength to answer back. It’s because his mind is already too focused on the echoing statement that “Xie Zhongxing sits at the top rank of the school.”
He ranks one even in the last schools he attended.
Xie Zian’s face crumpled. “Xie Zhongxing ranks first in this school…”
Jin Kui sighed and raised her left brow at him. “That’s right! He is that smart! He ranks number one every year, and he receives scholarships year after year. If he really is your brother, then how can you be so bad? Are you sure you’re born to the same mother?”
Xie Zian no longer mentioned the matter of going to Xie Zhongxing. His face crumpled even further. He turned around and left abruptly just like that.
Jin Kui raised a smirk, seeing how he crushed his soul and ego. “Didn’t you say you were looking for your brother? Aren’t you looking for him, huh?”
Xie Zian ignored her and soon disappeared outside the school gate.
Jin Kui took the chance to take out her cellphone and send a message to her sister: [Sis, you must not have thought that your stupid boyfriend came to Nanyang to find the most handsome boy in my school.]
Jin Rui: [Huh?]
Jin Kui: [It’s true. Didn’t you say that they are a little alike? Although I didn’t see it, it was outrageous for Xie Zian to say that our school’s most handsome is his elder brother. What are the similarities between the two?]
Jin Kui: [Furthermore, I heard that the school boy’s family is very poor. He always orders vegetarian dishes in the school canteen, has few new clothes, and wears school uniforms all the year-round. But didn’t that Xie Zian say that his family is rich?]
Jin Rui: [What are you trying to say?]
Jin Kui: [It shows that there is a big problem!]
Jin Rui: [What’s the problem?]
Jin Kui: [I’ll think about it thoroughly first.]
Jin Rui: […..]

Translator’s Note:
Unfortunately, I would have to drop this series. I picked it up from the Novelupdates as I’ve seen that the last chapter posted from the forerunner translator was last year, but out of the blue, it turned out that the translator connected his translated chapters to Novelupdates recently. On that note, I dislike disputes in projects that I work on. Thus, I have to give up this narrative even if it gave me vast joy in reading through its manuscript. Nevertheless, it has been a pleasure. See you at my next translation series.
